Exposed brick, historic wooden beams and twinkling fairy lights – our sympathetically restored cattle court has plenty of character before you add a single decoration. Set in the Fife countryside near St Andrews, it’s a welcoming space for a grand celebration or a smaller gathering with your favourite people.
The beauty of a barn wedding at The Rhynd is the freedom to make it your own. We don’t do packages, so you can choose the food, drinks and finishing touches that suit you, whether you’re imagining long tables for a relaxed dinner or something a little more formal.
You can organise every last detail yourself or ask us for help along the way. Our team knows the barn inside out, and we’re here to talk through your ideas, recommend suppliers and help everything come together on the day.

Our rustic barn is an exclusive-use wedding venue, giving you the space to celebrate with your guests and the flexibility to plan the day your way.
From your ceremony space to the tables, flowers and music, you can bring your own ideas to each part of the celebration. Whether you arrive with a notebook full of plans or are still deciding where to start, we’ll talk through the options with you.
Your ideas, with a little help from us
A blank canvas doesn’t mean you have to work everything out on your own. You might already have your caterer, florist and music sorted, or you might appreciate a few recommendations to get started.

The details
The space
Our converted cattle shed retains many of its original features, including exposed brick and historic wooden beams. With twinkling fairy lights overhead, it’s a barn wedding venue in Fife that you can make your own. We can accommodate up to 250 guests for a large celebration, or create a welcoming setting for a smaller, more intimate gathering.
Generous access
We believe you should have time to enjoy getting everything ready, so we offer access before your wedding day for setting up. Bring your ideas, gather your helpers and take the time to make the space yours. Access arrangements vary for some summer dates from 2027. We’ll confirm the timings for your chosen date during planning.
On-site accommodation
Want to make a weekend of it? The Rhynd Farmhouse is just 40 metres from the barn and sleeps up to nine people. Our four Forest Rooms each sleep two and are a short five-minute walk away. With wedding accommodation here on the farm, you and your guests can stay a little longer and enjoy more time together.
Absolutely no corkage
We have an amazing bar team that can do everything from serving your own drinks to running a fully stocked cash bar. What’s more, we don’t charge corkage. We’ll talk through how you’d like the bar to work and help you make arrangements that suit your celebration.
Garden space
We love it when couples hold their ceremony outside in our dedicated garden space. It gives you the option to exchange your vows in the fresh air before heading into the barn for dinner and dancing. If an outdoor ceremony is part of your plans, we’ll talk through how it could work for your day, including what to do if the weather has other ideas.
Finishing touches
Fancy a private chef the night before your big day? Or perhaps you want to take the stag party clay shooting? We can do all of that and much more, whether it’s a DIY BBQ, a catered hog roast or Highland Games. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll help you explore the options, whether you’re planning something for the evening before or making a weekend of your wedding.
Come and picture your day
Photographs can give you a feel for the barn, but there’s nothing quite like standing inside it. Come and explore the space, see the garden and talk through how you’d like your day to work.
Bring your questions, whether they’re about table layouts, catering, setting up or somewhere for your guests to stay. You don’t need to have everything decided before you visit.
