Top five barn wedding venues in Fife
There’s something rather wonderful about seeing an old farm building full of people eating, drinking and celebrating. We’re particularly fond of it here, having spent rather longer than expected turning our cattle shed into a wedding venue.
If you’re looking for barn wedding venues in Fife, here are five to explore. Naturally, we’ve included ourselves. This is The Rhynd’s own shortlist of barns and steadings, with something different to enjoy at each.

Five barn wedding venues in Fife to explore
1 The Rhynd near Leuchars
Our barn renovation began with the idea that it wouldn’t take much work. The ferns growing on the walls should probably have told us otherwise. Today, the restored cattle shed near St Andrews has room for your own ideas, with planning support available and a garden for outdoor ceremonies. You can also book the farmhouse or Forest Rooms and stay a little longer. We rather recommend it. Find out more.....
2 Kinkell Byre near St Andrews
If you’ve pictured the sea somewhere in your wedding photographs, have a look at Kinkell Byre. The converted barn overlooks the Fife coastline, with spaces for your ceremony, dinner and dancing. There are cabins on site, too. Visit with your guest numbers in mind and see how you’d use the rooms from the first arrivals to the last dance.
3 Pratis Barns near Leven
Good food matters at a wedding, and Pratis makes it a central part of the day. Its in-house kitchen works with seasonal ingredients, while the barns look towards the Firth of Forth. Pratis House offers accommodation on site. It’s worth exploring if you’d like a countryside wedding with the food and event arrangements handled by the venue team.

4 The Cow Shed Crail
The Cow Shed Crail brings together sea views, accommodation and a blank canvas steading in the East Neuk. Bring your ideas along and ask how you could make the space your own. Discuss suppliers and decorating time as well as the rooms themselves; the preparations are part of the wedding experience, too.
5 Falside Mill near Kingsbarns
Falside Mill is a restored stone steading with celebration spaces gathered around a courtyard. Its offering includes in-house catering, a stocked bar and furniture, giving you plenty to work with. Ask to walk through the day, from the ceremony to the evening celebrations, so you can picture everyone settling in.
Come and have a look
Photographs help, but nothing quite replaces a visit. Ask about costs, accommodation and access before you make your decision. If The Rhynd has caught your eye, get in touch. We’d love to show you around and hear what you have in mind. Book a viewing or for more information download our brochure.
