We are often asked what the café and event space looked like before we started work on them back in the latter part of 2015. If we are being completely honest, it was not exactly a snazzy steading. Far from it... The roofs leaked, the beams were rotten and the valley gutters (every farmer's worst nightmare when it comes to old buildings) were shot.
Add to that, the steading had been used as a dumping ground for anything and everything. If there's an open space on a farm, it's going to get stuff dumped there.
