Ed Foster's father, John, was always into cars and 'bikes, and used to race the former as an amateur. It's no great surprise that Ed, and his elder brother William, have caught the same petrol-flavoured bug. Both race cars together, and Ed has spent his entire working life in motorsport journalism at Autocar Italia, Motor Sport Magazine and now Goodwood, where he helps organise the Festival of Speed, Revival and Members' Meeting.
Most recently, Ed has bought an ex-Dan Gurney Chevrolet Impala with 440bhp that he plans to race around the UK in the coming years. It should make for an interesting spectacle with drum brakes...
